Dreamy Engagement Photos at the Platte Valley Airport in Fort Lupton, Colorado
We had a magical evening north of Denver doing engagement photos for Brittani and Victor at the Platte Valley Airport! Victor is an aviation mechanic, so when Brittani asked if they could do their engagement session at an airport he works at I was over the moon excited.
Brittani and Victor met a couple years ago and have such a sweet love story. During their engagement session I couldn’t stop thinking about how easily they interacted together. They looked so comfy in front of the camera, it was hard to stop taking photos!
As we drove up to the airport I started getting a little nervous about the weather. It had been cloudy during the afternoon in Denver, and it seemed like the darkest clouds were sitting directly over the airport. As Victor got the plane set up on a runway, we began to see lightning and the wind picked up. About 5 minutes into the engagement photos it started pouring rain! I hopped into the plane with Brittani and Victor and waited out the storm. Thankfully it passed quickly and in about 5 more minutes the sun was out and we saw a rainbow!
I can’t believe how beautiful the weather turned out. The wind left and we ended up with a gorgeous sunset and pink and blue cotton candy clouds – my favorite!
I am so excited to photograph Brittani and Victor’s wedding next fall. Victor’s mom, Deborah Ritchey, owns Black Forest Meadows, the beautiful venue where B & V are getting married. Brittani told me they have big plans for the florals – I can’t wait to see everything come to life!
Brittani and Victor, thank you for trusting us to document your love story. We can’t wait to make more magic with you at your wedding next fall!
